historically inspired, hand crafted sporrans
These sporrans are made in the USA by master cordwainer L. Adron Britt. You simply will not find a better hand crafted sporran anywhere else. These sporrans are heirlooms in addition to being truly functional pieces of Highland wear. Only the finest elk and deer hides go into his designs. All sporrans are fully lined with elk suede, with hand braided elk hide braid details. These sporrans are each custom made, so please allow extra time for delivery. Any style of sporran can be made from a variety of shades of brown and black leathers (see chart below), with any legally obtainable fur. As these are individually crafted items, some minor variations can be expected in each unique sporran. Want something special? Let us know the details and we will get back to you with a price quote. These historically inspired sporrans are not only perfect for re-enacting, but also for modern-day Highland attire, both day wear and formal.
Any sporran on this page can be made to wear from a standard leather sporran belt (left), or to be hung from the kilt belt (right), as pictured below.
If you order your sporran to be made to wear from a sporran belt, it will be shipped with a hand-made Ferguson Britt sporran strap. Click here for instructions on how to fasten this unique style strap.

“I do not prize the word 'cheap.' It is not a badge of honor. It is a symbol of despair. Cheap prices make for cheap goods; cheap goods make for cheap men; and cheap men make for a cheap country.” -- Wm. McKinley, 25th President of the United States, Scottish descendant.
