Formal Doublets... The Sheriffmuir
Pictured to the right is the traditional Sheriffmuir doublet, which is typically worn with a waistcoat, either in solid color, or tartan to match the kilt. Many Highland Dress retailers offer this style of doublet in black barathea wool, but we don't want you to feel limited to that classic color choice. We'd love to make your Sheriffmuir doublet from any one of our available fabrics. The example at right is made of Harris Tweed with Braemar cuffs, and no epaulettes. All our fabrics are woven in Scotland, and our jackets are all tailored in Scotland. No matter whether your choice is tweed, velvet, barathea or worsted wool, every choice we offer exhibits the quality you expect from genuine Scottish craftsmanship. Using the order form below, select the appropriate cloth range, the style of cuff you require, whether you desire epaulettes, and your size information. Finally, type in the name of the specific cloth you are requesting. Made in Scotland. Custom item, allow 8 to 12 weeks for delivery. Model shown with custom round buttons. Standard buttons are square celtic design.
Cuff Options:
Waistcoats: All doublets will be supplied with a matching 5-button waistcoat. Waistcoats in a different, complimentary color can also be supplied upon request.
Buttons: Standard buttons on all doublets are silver-tone square celtic buttons unless otherwise specified.

“I do not prize the word 'cheap.' It is not a badge of honor. It is a symbol of despair. Cheap prices make for cheap goods; cheap goods make for cheap men; and cheap men make for a cheap country.” -- Wm. McKinley, 25th President of the United States, Scottish descendant.
