Scottish Tartans Museum Standard Rental Agreement

For all kilt and jacket rentals a valid Visa, Master Card, or American Express number must be provided to the Scottish Tartans Museum gift shop before delivery or pick up of any kilt or accessories.  The initial rental fee will be charged to the customer's credit card at the time of shipment or pick up.  It is the customer's sole responsibility to return all rented items to the Scottish Tartans Museum by 5:00pm of the due date as outlined below.

In cases of local pick up, the Scottish Tartans Museum (STM) gift shop will have the items ready to pick up on the date agreed to by the STM and the customer.  All items are expected to be returned to the STM gift shop three days after pick up, excluding Sunday or other days on which the STM is not open for business (example; if items are picked up on a Friday, they would be due back before close of day on the following Tuesday).  If the items are not returned by this time, the customer will be charged a second rental fee.  If the items are not returned one week after the original due date, the customer will be charged the full price of the items as if they were purchased new.  If any items are found missing or damaged upon return, the customer will be charged an appropriate replacement fee.

In cases of items shipped, the STM gift shop will have the items delivered to the provided address on the day agreed to by the STM and the customer.  All items must be received by the STM gift shop five days after delivery, excluding Sunday or postal holidays (example; if items are delivered on a Friday, they would be due back before close of day on the following Thursday).  If the items are not returned by this time, the customer will be charged a second rental fee.  If the items are not returned one week after the original due date, the customer will be charged the full price of the items as if they were purchased new.  If any items are found missing or damaged upon return, the customer will be charged an appropriate replacement fee.  The customer is entirely responsible for return shipping, and will pay all shipping charges to and from the Scottish Tartans Museum.

The customer is expected to have read and agreed to this statement before contracting with the Scottish Tartans Museum for rental services.
