McGann is an historical clothing researcher
specializing in Irish, Highland Scottish, and Japanese medieval dress. For
over a decade, she has studied extant garments in museums worldwide and made
accurate replicas using only period-appropriate materials and handwork.
She has given lectures all over the US, Europe, Australia and Ireland on
studying and making replicas of historical clothing. She is an avid living
historian and participates in reenactments of the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th
centuries.
