Clothing Patterns

Historical clothing patterns by Kass McGann.

McGann is an historical clothing researcher specializing in Irish, Highland Scottish, and Japanese medieval dress.  For over a decade, she has studied extant garments in museums worldwide and made accurate replicas using only period-appropriate materials and handwork.  She has given lectures all over the US, Europe, Australia and Ireland on studying and making replicas of historical clothing.  She is an avid living historian and participates in reenactments of the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.

“I do not prize the word 'cheap.' It is not a badge of honor. It is a symbol of despair. Cheap prices make for cheap goods; cheap goods make for cheap men; and cheap men make for a cheap country.” -- Wm. McKinley, 25th President of the United States, Scottish descendant.
