Inverness Cape - discontinued! Special sale on remaining stock.
It is constructed from burly 10 ounce Oilskin, similar to an "Outback" style duster. The body and outer shawl are lined with 3 ply Supplex. The full length shawl (cape) covers your arms and torso. Snap it closed like a shield in horizontal rain, then fold it back over your shoulders for chopping wood and catching fish. The shawl works well by itself in light precipitation, and is completely removable. After the skies clear, pull off the outer covering and let the long bodice protect your kilt while you finish your soggy chores.
Unlike many Inverness capes, this one has pockets. There are two deep chest pockets for tools or valuables, and two large, low profile hand pockets on the belly. All the closures and attachment points use stainless steel snaps anchored in nylon webbing. The optional hood clips on at the neck for truly miserable days. Unlike typical Oilskin garments with flannel liners, the nylon interior of this garment is easy to clean. Turn the cape inside out and wash the dirty areas with a sponge and mild soap. Rinse the fabric with a hose and let it dry in a warm area. Click any image for larger version Made in USA. Price: $265 basic, $30 optional hood Fabric: 10 ounce Cotton Canvas impregnated with oils and waxes, 3 ply Supplex Nylon lining. Color: Dark Olive Green. Sizes: S-XXL.

“I do not prize the word 'cheap.' It is not a badge of honor. It is a symbol of despair. Cheap prices make for cheap goods; cheap goods make for cheap men; and cheap men make for a cheap country.” -- Wm. McKinley, 25th President of the United States, Scottish descendant.
