To make a delicious nourishing
porridge boil 1 1/2 cups of water or milk. Stir in 1/2 cup of oatmeal.
Cook for 3-5 minutes over a medium heat, stirring occasionally. Turn off
heat. Cover, and let stand for 2 minutes. For sweeter oatmeal, add
brown sugar and cinnamon to taste.
