GARTERS & Garter Flashes
Garters are worn to help keep your kilt hose up and in place. Traditional garters were tied bands of woven cloth. Modern garter flashes are composed of adjustable elastic garters with colored ribbons (or flashes) attached. The flashes are worn to the outside of the leg, and are visible below the turn down of your kilt hose. These flashes are meant to emulate the tied ends of the traditional garter ties. We are happy to be able to offer both modern and traditional garters in a wide variety of colors. Choose a color that tones well with the kilt -- colors that contrast with the kilt hose stand out especially well!

“I do not prize the word 'cheap.' It is not a badge of honor. It is a symbol of despair. Cheap prices make for cheap goods; cheap goods make for cheap men; and cheap men make for a cheap country.” -- Wm. McKinley, 25th President of the United States, Scottish descendant.
